What This Season Didn’t Steal From Me

If you’ve ever been in a season where everything is shifting...your plans, your peace, your patience....you already know how easy it is to feel like you’re losing ground.

Over the last few months, I’ve been stretched in ways I didn’t expect.

Launching the prayer journal. Walking through emotional family tension. Moving again. Accepting a new a full-time job. Trying to hold it all together for my son and for myself.

It’s been... a lot.

And right in the middle of one of those “I can’t keep doing this” moments, the Holy Spirit said something that stopped me in my tracks:

Bite Sized Wisdom: Sometimes you just gotta look at the blessing right in front of you.

That hit me deep. Because I realized I was spending so much energy focusing on the next issue, the next thing that needed fixing, that I was completely missing what was still working.

  • Breath in my lungs

  • A roof over our heads (even if it wasn’t the one I hoped for)

  • A phone that works

  • A mind that’s healing

  • A God who keeps showing up

That’s when it clicked...this season may be heavy, but it hasn’t stolen my praise.

And that’s honestly one of the reasons I’m so proud of the In You journal. It’s not just a journal, it’s a daily rhythm of gratitude, even when it feels like there’s nothing to be thankful for. It helps me pause long enough to name what’s still good. What’s still proof that I’m held. And what’s still growing in me, even when life feels unstable.

So here’s what I want you to know if your season has been looking a little like mine: The chaos may be loud, but the peace of God is louder. You’re not broken. You’re being built. And you still have blessings...right in front of you.

Keep looking up.

There’s still more good than you think.

A Challenge for You:

Look around your life today. What’s something you’ve been overlooking that might actually be evidence of God’s provision?
